There is nothing to stop you feeding an already modified image back into the grey/brightness transform and manipulating further.

Just for fun I applied a second inversion to the already inverted complex image. Method was to open the complex image, perform a simple and not too radical Sabattier transform, then use PWP’s invert facility within the grey curves tool before saving.
